Postdoctoral Researcher Linly Banda and PhD student Rae McDowell delivered oral presentations in the Biofortification session, sharing the Rhodes Lab’s latest findings and engaging in vibrant discussions on improving the nutritional quality of staple crops.

PI Davina Rhodes, along with Linly Banda and Rae McDowell, also presented posters at the conference. Davina and Linly highlighted recently submitted GE manuscripts (Maina et al 2025 and Cruet-Burgos and Banda et al 2025), and Rae presented her ongoing research on mineral biofortification.
They had the opportunity to visit researchers and tour facilities at ICRISAT at the Bulawayo Matopos Research Station, as well as the National University of Science and Technology (NUST) in Bulawayo.
